Free Workshop! Pilates Apparatus Cross Training for Marathoners February 15, 2010

Come join owners Aaron and Kurt for a hands-on workshop experiencing the benefits of the Pilates apparatus. Go beyond the Pilates mat work and see how the equipment helps you strengthen your entire body, challenges stability and increases flexibility.
Benefits for Pilates for runners and walkers include:
* A stronger core. Research shows that athletes with a strong and stable core are able to distribute energy in a more powerful and efficient way.
* Increased hip mobility and strength. Pilates uses the hips in their full range of motion, increasing strength, mobility and decreasing risk of injury.
* Trains you to move with control. Joseph Pilates originally called his method "Contrology". The Pilates method trains you to mindfully control your movement, allowing you to absorb impact and move with precision.
